My Incandescent Story

From old...
To New...
And back again.
I have no idea what that means, but it doesn't matter. I also have no idea what the title of this post has anything to do with anything. But whatever. I'm here at BYU and that's what matters. The first BYU picture is originally from way back when. The second is at least a little more modern, but what do I know? And the last picture will last for millenia. Anyway, here I am in my little dorm room on BYU campus enjoying my time and getting ready for work--and the rest of my life. Just so you all know, I am excited and it really has gone great already. Of course. Thanks for all your support! And keep checking in! Whenever I have time, I suppose... :P

Back to School

Hehe... sounds good! Or at least it did when
I went to a school that required a note to be
excused. Now? Yeah, it's all on me. Every
day I have to be to class, or I don't. It's my
responsibility entirely. If I don't go? No prob.
For the teachers. No one cares. Except your
financial status. Sigh... maybe I could get
Obama to sign a bailout plan to get me through
school. That would be nice! Let's see... College
costs $25,000, so Obama's bailout would have
to be--oh yes. 1 Billion dollars. That should cover
it. Thanks Mr. Pres! Don't forget to sign my note!

Home Sweet Home

Home again! Grateful to be back, unhappy that I left. I would much rather find any way to stay back in Cali with my family. I love it so much there!! But, there is still nothing like coming home. I love it here. After my last real adventure before life starts, I feel scared. Kind of like the quiet before a storm. It's eerie. Things are already just happening and flying by. Before I know it I'll be on campus fighting to earn money to stay. And scared to death to go anywhere else. Well, here's to being home again, and launching off again after a short two weeks of hard work and preparation. Cheers!

I'm Finally Here!!!

Memory Day

I'll work on getting all of the pictures up soon from this Switchfoot concert. It was a blast! The only problem was what preceded it. Many of you know that I totalled our Nissan Sentra more than a year ago. Well, I just totalled our Toyota Corolla, as well. On the freeway. No injuries. Just a bad lane change. Scariest moment of my life. I did end up going to the concert still and got to hit rocks with John Foreman the lead singer and gave him a pat on the back! It was awesome!! Now to deal with money, trauma, mom and dad... college, mission... Blech. Wish me luck! Pictures of totalled car and Switchfoot Concert coming soon. Oh, and don't forget the most important part: It's my mom's birthday. Happy birthday mom.

Here We Go Again: Wingardium Leviosa!!

I haven't been to too many midnight showings, and I'll tell ya, after hiking 16 miles it was hard to stay awake. Luckily I get to repeat the experience Saturday morning when I expect to be just as exhausted as I am right now considering our 10 AM showtime is 3 hours before I'm supposed to wake up. I liked this movie. I'm not sure I should rate it quite yet, but, as of right now, I loved it. Definitely a must-see.

The Woes of Joblife

Well, there you have it. Just lost a job yesterday that I never even had. Isn't life wonderful?
I hate politics. Maybe if I became one, I could fix all of the corruption. But... isn't that what
they all say? :p

This is what I have been wanting to do all day. Smash watermelons. Maybe replace them
with the Jonas Brothers' heads. From work at Macey's loading 80,000,000 watermelons from
8AM to 4PM then leaving to go have a super fun blast at Stadium of Fire from 5PM to Midnight.
The only problem I had with the Stadium of Fire was.. you guessed it!! The music from SheDaisy
and Jonas Brothers. Everything else was freakin' awesome!! Lots of hard work, meeting new
people, and just thoroughly enjoying yourself. Of course, the trip home was life-threatening.
Almost got killed by several different people. One of them was a stupid cop!! What the heck?
Don't you know how to signal when you change lanes?!! First time in my life I screeched to a stop
because of another person. Talk about "Insta-Prayer". I don't think I've ever said a prayer faster
in my life. :D And that, in a nutshell, is my day from hell. :)

Worried? Have No Fear

Revision is Imminent, but Progress Persists

So, after five years of planning, writing, re-writing, council meetings, friendly skirmishes, changing minds, and more planning, finally I've been able to start my books. Chapter 1 and 2 are now finished. Obviously there will need to be revision after revision after revision, but that's what moms are for. :P I love writing, and after finally just sitting down and getting it all down on paper, it's a lot easier than I thought. I'm not even planning out what I'm gonna write. I know the general direction it should go but I have no idea what I'm gonna write when I sit down. It just comes. I love it!! When I finish a chapter I read it through and fix any major problems or "plot bombs" as I call them then save the file, close the window and go to work. Of course I couldn't do this without the support of my family and friends so thank you!!! If you want to read the chapters, you will probably have to wait. I don't like giving these out lightly to anyone. Only my co-writer has read chapter one. Be patient, I will be able to release another excerpt soon. I also need to thank all those responsible for the massive Star Wars Universe that is out there. I have gained so much inspiration from them and their work. Thank you!!! A special thanks goes to the Star Wars: The Old Republic Team and their awesome ideas. Thank you Lucasarts and Bioware!!

Return of Mario!!!

Here we go!!! Hehe, thanks to the all-powerful technology of the Nintendo Wii I have been able to jump into the past and revive an old childhood joy. Super Mario 64, originally on Nintendo 64 (the first gaming console I can remember), has returned. Downloadable from the Wii Shop Channel on the Wii Dashboard, it provides me with undeniable memories and loads of fun!! I love this game! It's just fun to go back and really understand some of the things that I loved and didn't understand as a kid, but still had fun. Mamma mia!!

"Fathers of the Force" Update:

Hey everyone! I know it has been a while since I last posted anything regarding my books. I've been busy looking for work, going to New York, and trying to find time to even write. I'm glad to say that I have written some more stuff, but I'm not sure what I'm going to post. I've actually started on the book itself (the excerpts were from different parts of the series), and am almost done with my first chapter. My plot line for book 1: "Dawn of the Jedi" is pretty much set in stone, but we'll see where my characters take me. Thanks for keeping up with me, and I'll be posting something very soon.

New York

You know.. people tell me I'm tall, but I didn't know I was THAT tall. :P
It seems not all skyscrapers in New York are made of steel and glass... :)
Just me and my Aunt Raquel. We didn't actually walk the Brooklyn Bridge, but it was awesome to be there!! Thanks to Raquel for taking me to the Big Apple for my Senior Trip!! I had so much fun! I have lots more pictures, so if you guys would like to see them, just ask! I'll post them or show you depending on how close you live (sorry Mike, maybe in August). Thanks again Raquel!!
